The workshop packages, offered by the Euregional cooperation parties, contained a balanced mix and some optional possibilities between doing, experiencing, and thinking. The packages comprised a varied daylong program of one or two days, and took place at different locations in the Euregio.

Tuesday 13 October
Package: innovation in the GGZ and its history: stronger through music and art
Within the Venray package, you will be visiting an innovative project, the ‘Art and Music workplace’ in Venray. This foundation aims to help the participants in such a way that they can live a normal life, as a regular individual in society
They started out small, with only 12 participants, but now, they have grown to an organization with 80 participants. The foundation has two workplaces, one for plastic arts and one for music. During the morning part of this package you will be introduced to the ideology and the participants. In the afternoon, you can partake in musical and plastic arts workshops. Furthermore, in the afternoon, you can get a tour at the museum ‘100 years of psychiatry in Limburg and the Netherlands’.

Package: art is my middle name: a creative workshop with mixed techniques at a beautiful location
This package offers a daylong workshop, in which the participants explore themselves, the material, and each other. The purpose of the workshop is creating an artwork that will be placed at one of the institutions for Mental Healthcare in the region. If the weather is fair, this will be done at a beautiful location outside. When it rains, this will be done at a location inside somewhere in the centre of Maastricht. Also, a film impression will be made of the day, which will be shown at the conference. When possible, the artwork will also be shown that day.

Package: discovery journey
During this package, participants will go on an exploration. Not only will they be walking through the beautiful city of Maastricht, with all her Roman and Medieval influences, they will also discover themselves en route to new ways of expression and strength. In the morning, participants will get to know each other through the Horizon buddy-system. This is a project in which client and volunteer are linked to each other. Furthermore, everyone can take part in a theatre/drama workshop.
In the early afternoon, a poetry workshop will be offered by the national GGZ-poet and a workshop recovery in which film and stories concerning recovery, empowerment and empirical expertise are interactively handled.
After that, you can take part in a tour throughout Maastricht, also you can make a visit to a regionally monitored living institution in Maastricht, (www.ribw.nl) or you can get informed about the European Network Users Survivors Psychiatry (www.stichting-time-out.nl).

Package: nature and animals
On a farm, in a beautiful forest area in Geleen, you can take part in a program in which you, together with other participants, can be creative in the midst of flora and fauna.
Each morning, you can take part in the felted wool workshop, in which you learn how to make corsages and house shoes out of coloured wool. This is a very relaxing activity, in which you can be as creative as you want.
In the afternoon, you will be visiting the school Citaverde, where you can take part in a workshop concerning the theme animals.

Package: l’automne de l’art (autumn of art)
This package takes place in the beautiful natural and historical surroundings of the Belgian geological park au Moulin du Broukay in Eben-Emael. This package will be a two day program and you can choose from several creative workshops. It offers those creative minds a chance to work, guided by professionals, on their creations. Within this package you can make a choice from the following workshops: moulding, painting, poetry, land art (making art from natural material), lino cutting, music, and photography.

Package: creative and cultural in the Limburgish mining area in Belgium
In Hasselt a package is offered in which a combination is made between creativity and culture. You will get learn about the history of the mining region and you will be creatively taking part in the day activity centres. In the morning, you will be introduced to the LITP organization, and you will be allowed to take a look at the day activity centre the ‘Link’. During the afternoon, several creative workshops are offered. You can choose between two locations. The day activities centre the ‘Schans’ in Heusden-Zolder or the day activity centre the ‘Link’ in Beringen. At the Schans you can take part in a pumpkin workshop, in which you can be creative with pumpkins and also a baking workshop, in which you will be baking. At the day activity centre ‘Link’ you can take part in a workshop mosaic and make a visit to the mining museum.

Package: Union by fiction
Foundation Union by Fiction aims to organize social-educational art projects. They use art to bring different groups of people into contact with each other, so that they get to know each other better.
During the festival, Union by Fiction will, together with the participants of package two, work for two days on an artwork at the home base at hotel Schaepkens St. Fyt. The artwork will be revealed during the farwell party.

Package: innovation in the GGZ and the history: the client as director
The package of Venlo allows you to get acquainted with the renewed self-control centre in Belfelt. This centre hands people the possibility to develop themselves and to take control of their own lives and mental well-being.
In the morning, you will be introduced to the centre and you will be able to exchange thoughts and ideas with people who come to the centre or work there .After that, Foundation Wilskracht will organize a creative workshop. Later that day, you can participate in the workshop poetry or get acquainted with the recovery group van Mensana.

Package: Cross border living and studying
The Aachen package will take place at the ecological farm and residence Maria Haus in Aachen. The Maria Haus provides people, with a chronically psychiatric condition, with a place to live and work. At the ecological farm there is also a carpenter’s workplace, a little shop, a weaving mill, and a garage where the inhabitants offer services to the region.
In the morning, a workshop will be offered about the cooperation project Chronos. The project aims to train people for an entirely new profession in healthcare, the life guide. During this workshop, participants receive information about the training and students share their experiences about this new innovative training. After the workshop, everyone can join in a tour of the Maria Haus.
In the afternoon, a walk will take place to the famous three countries point in Vaals, where a tourist guide will be provided. Those that don’t want to, or can’t partake in this walk, can join in the regular activities of the Maria Haus.

Package: playing with expression
During this package in Maastricht, participants will be able to explore and further their own expressivity in various ways. During the morning workshops, health and buddies will be the central theme. Musical and sportive workshops like djembé, yoga, and Tai-chi will be offered. Also there is a possibility to get acquainted with a cooperation project concerning attitude, from empirical experts and the medical science faculty of the University of Maastricht. During this workshop, you will get an overview of the project trough instructions, exercises, and a film about the courses.
In the afternoon, the movie festival ‘Verfilmde Waan’ will be on the program. This is a film festival for student of secondary schools, to increase their image of psychiatry and especially psychoses. During these workshops, a short introduction will be given about the festival and parts of the movies will be shown and discussed. Of course, a tour throughout the beautiful city of Maastricht and a workshop Limburgisch cooking, offered by client-controlled project Plexat are included in the program.

Pakket: nature and animals
This package offers you the possibility, in a newly created natural area, to get some exercise and also to take a break with the animals and after that you can take a look at a natural park.
In the morning, you can leave from the stable to the natural area ‘Hof van Limburg’. You will make a hike together with some of the farm animals. After hits, the animals can be brushed and cuddled.
In the afternoon, you will accompany the other participants to the natural park Mondoverde.

Euregional conference
The euregional conference will be all about the central theme: ‘social inclusion by reducing social drop-outs’ will be the crucial topic at the Euregional conference. Or in other words, decreasing the social excluding of people with a GGZ background. The conference intends to create a dialogue between empirical experts, professionals, clients, managers, and family members. In the morning program, the theme will be discussed by empirical and theoretical experts and Euregional example projects. In the afternoon, participants can partake in the various workshops.
Package: sightseeing Valkenburg
The participants that don’t want to partake in the conference can choose for the Valkenburg package. This package offers you the possibility to get acquainted with Valkenburg and to get a taste of her charm, culture, natural beauty, and history. In the morning there will be a rest moment when you can do your own activities. In the afternoon, you can choose from a city walk, or a city tour with a touristbus, or a visit to the municipal caves (gemeentegrot). You will be equipped with brochures and a map, so that you can also explore Valkenburg on your own.
